Allen F. Boyd Jr., age 45, left this world to make his journey on October 5, 2016. Allen was born on August, 11, 1971 to Louise Boyd and Allen F. Youpee Sr. in Poplar, MT. Allen was raised by his maternal grandmother, Virgina (Pat) Adams and a special Uncle, Eugene C. Boyd.
Allen loved and enjoyed cruising around, visiting, and going to “Try It” the machine, his quote “Zeus”
Allen has returned home to the Lord and his mom, who he loved dearly, dad and all loved ones who have already returned. Allen, you will be missed dearly. Allen worked at various jobs in his life, A&S Tribal Industries, Dakota Magic Casino, Cloverdale Meat, Firefighting, Seismographic work both in California, and Dickinson, North Dakota.
Allen is survived by his children Eileen Maude Lambert, Avery, Allery, and Arianna Black Dog- Boyd; grandchildren Charlie Kathleen-Ruth, and (Benz Mckenzie), Erin lee, Lillian Rose, Averyn Gaberielle; maternal uncles, Kermit (Rose) Boyd, Eugene C. Boyd, Samuel Boyd, William (Doris) Boyd, David (Victoria) Adams; brothers, Dale Bear and PJ (Dominque) Bad Bear; aunts, Margaret Boyd and Patrice (Tony) Iron Bear; paternal uncles, Dwight Youpee, Cary (Linda) Youpee, and Marvin (Renee) Youpee Sr.; aunts, Williamette (Larry) Bussard, Helen (George) Ricker, Josie (Rene) Martell, Lori Lafrombois, Gretchen Youpee; his special friend Kateri Fast Horse’s children, Erica and Floyd Runs above Jr., Natasha Fast Horse, and Alicia Fast Horse-Big Horn and grandsons Julian Runsabove and Tyler Red Eagle; special friends, Melvin Azure, Hope Montoya, Melvin Martell.
A special time for Allen was when he attended Brockton High School where he excelled in both basketball and cross country with his cousins Dewayne and Leroy “Turbo” Boyd Sr. During this time Allen won outstanding individual titles and consecutive State Cross Country titles with the Brockton Warriors of 1986-1990. He talked of his teammates and of two teachers Mr. Paul Westberg and Mr. Duane Hekkel.
Preceding Allen in passing are his mother, J. Louise Body and father Allen F. Boyd Youpee Sr.; son, Armon “Poohz” Boyd; maternal grandparents, Virgina (Pat) Adams and James Boyd; paternal grandparents, William and Isabelle Youpee Sr., Helen and Joe Brushhorn, Frank Youpee; grandchildren, Benz Mckenzie, Florence Youpee, Dany and Willie Youpee.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 12 at the Brockton Cultural Center. Interment will follow at the Riverview Cemetery in Brockton. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements.
