Alvin John Yellowrobe, age 65, passed away Tuesday June 27 in Billings, Montana surrounded by his loving family. Alvin “John” Yellowrobe was born July 13th to Calvin “Skip” Yellowrobe and Ruth Smith and adopted by Caroline Yellowrobe.

During this time, he was a training sergeant to many upcoming officers, and made lifelong friends. In 2000, he worked at the Fort Peck Community College/Wolf Point Wellness Center where he received his fitness training certificate. He loved all the people that entered the Wellness and made many friends.
Anyone who knew John knew of his big smile and humor that always can make one laugh. John had many stories for every situation. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandkids. He loved his family, fishing, and shooting (always showing off his marksmen skills). He enjoyed playing cribbage and barbequing with family. John enjoyed listening to music of all kinds especially Northern Cree. In John’s early years he played in a band that played at many events in Montana and South Dakota.
John is survived by his wife, Christy Birdsbill-Yellowrobe; his daughters, Jasmine Yellowrobe, Jade Yellowrobe, Jennifer Yellowrobe, and Kiana Yellowrobe of Wolf Point, Montana; his sons, John Yellowrobe of Wolf Point, Montana, Amuayvit Poolsap (Peter Yellowrobe) of Rayong, Thailand and special adopted son Harlin (Brandi) Burshia; his sisters Ardis (Jeff) Cecil, Vicki (Loren) Bisbee, and Denise (Susie) Smith; his Grandchildren Nevaeh, Caitlyn, Natalia, Kelsie, Dre’An, Devon, Dai’Jon, Matthew, Noah, Kaidynce, Ahleeha Burshia, and Shastin Damon and Great grandchildren Jace, Eragon and Caroline.
