Our beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson and a true friend Delmar Austin “DaMinatour” Martell was called away on May 9th 2018 to be with our heavenly father. Delmar was born on December 10th 1990 to Sophia Martell Youngman and Grant Stafne in Poplar Montana. Delmar grew up in Riverside with his grandparents and siblings. He loved to hunt and fish with them. He attended his younger days at Poplar elementary school until 2008 where he attended Culbertson High School. Delmar then finished his education at Kicking Horse Job Corps in Ronan, Montana, where he received his GED.
Delmar spent his summers working as a farm hand breaking horses for James Dean Holum in 2013, he worked for TGC as a seismographer and 2017 at the sugar beet company in Sidney, Montana. Delmar loved his sport, boxing. He dedicated his time to the Ft. Peck Boxing club in Poplar, Montana with his favorite uncle and role model, Frank Martell Sr. and cousins, Waylon Youpee Sr. and Willard White III.
He dedicated his strength and time to MMA where he trained with his trainer and manager, Jimmie John Chase. His sweat and hard work led to his feather weight championship belt in 2014.
He loved his family and friends and never turned a soul away. He always had a knee slapper and we always had a good laugh when in his company. He is always going to be missed. Delmar was loved and never will be forgotten. We love you, and will always and forever be missing you until we meet again.
