I knew and respected both Georgia and Buzzy for many decades. They were a part of Fort Peck Community College development in its very early days. Being on the Poplar Indian Days celebration committee with Georgia was always a wonderful experience. She was my only Poplar “beadworker” and her work was always done with care and love. I too am proud to call her “Auntie Georgia”. May Wakan Tanka Niya Was’te all of her family. Aho.

My heart was saddened to hear the passing of Georgia. She knew my mother, and came to my mothers funeral, I felt bad because I didn’t make it to her funeral I had lost my own sister in February it was hard for me to go to wakes and funerals, my sister’s name was Georgia too. She always had a smile and handshake and we had visits when I went to the celebrations there. I know she had a giveaway one year and she would always make sure that I left with something. She was a very kind and generous woman, of whom I respected very much I will always treasure her friendship and the kindness she showed me. May our Creator bless each of you in her family and extended family. Our Creator God gained one treasured angel.
