Kelly Jo passed away unexpectedly on June 14th at the Billings Clinic in Billings MT.
Kelly was born to Nurna Squires Azure and Roy Azure Jr. on May 24, 1973 in Sidney MT. Kelly attended schools in Wolf Point and in 1993 got her GED.
Kelly danced at powwows from the time she could walk. First as a fancy shawl dancer. But her claim to fame came when she changed to jingle dress dancing. She traveled many places across the US and Canada and even Germany dancing jingle dress style. She proudly represented her family and her tribe as a jingle dress dancer.
Kelly met and married Oral (JR) Grey Bear Jr. to this marriage came her three children Nathaniel Sean, Ian Little Sky and Kiah Little Plume. Kelly and JR later separated.
Kelly is survived by her three children Nathaniel, Ian and Kiah. Her grandchildren Kimora, Kassidy, Kallen, Kayden, Evayla, Kamilla, Kashton and Leland. Sisters Kathy and Mary Lou Azure of Poplar, Leigh Melbourne and Sonia Hawk of Wolf Point and Rynette Martinez of Salt Lake, UT. Brothers Randy Azure of Great Falls, Darrell Azure of Lame Deer and Roy Azure III of White Shield, ND. Many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Kelly is preceded in death by her parents Nurna and Roy, maternal grandparents Emma Redd Beauchman and Cliff Squires. Paternal grandparents Roy Azure Sr. and Ida Rondue Azure. Brothers David Azure and Emerson Melbourne.

I used to dance with Kelly for a long time..both of us fancy dancers than. She was a good friend. My sincerest condolences to her family
