On May 28, 2017, our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend Lisa Renee Adams Swati of League City, Texas, left us and this world. Lisa remained a self-sacrificing, kind-hearted, devoted, and elegant woman who loved and cared for all of her family and friends throughout her life.
Lisa was born January 15, 1967 in Wolf Point, Montana to Carol Adams and Ron Sparks. She attended elementary through high school in Wolf Point until her junior year. School dances were one of Lisa’s particular favorite social gatherings, frequently attending with her friends and family. She was an athlete who participated in sports including track and basketball.
Lisa met Loren Weston of Porcupine, South Dakota in 1983. They married in 1985 and were later blessed with five children: Casey Weston, Johnny Weston, Jordan Weston, Kaylena Weston, and Chelsea Weston.
During her time in Wolf Point, she performed at miscellaneous jobs, including summer programs in her teen years. Lisa then strove for and obtained her G.E.D. in September of 1991 from Fort Wayne Community College of Indiana. After moving to Texas in 1993, Lisa pursued a career at Bayshore Dialysis, where she achieved her Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) license and held a position for 16 years. Before working at Bayshore, she practiced nursing, for a total of 20-plus years in her field. She was extremely considerate, often bringing back souvenirs from her vacation trips for her patients and co-workers. Her Bayshore family loved her dearly, showing her the same respect and adoration she bestowed upon everyone around her.
Lisa’s children blessed her with nine lovely grandchildren. Benz, BrookLyn, and Azlyn Weston; Daniel Davis, Irelynd and Zereniti Greathouse; Lucas Fast Horse and CarolAnn Country; and Kiya Weston. Lisa made many trips from Texas to Montana, taking time off from work to visit with her grandchildren. She never missed birthdays or holidays, always sending her well-wishes through cards in the mail. She had an exceptional bond with them all, keeping in frequent contact to receive updates and birthday wish lists.
Lisa truly delighted in listening to music, enjoying everything from country to classic rock to the sounds of native flute. Her favorite choice of music to play while at home or in the car was ‘80s rock. Native art and design made Lisa feel at home while she was miles away from where she was born. She kept native culture close to her heart, decorating her house with Indian commandments and native designed rugs, even carrying a Pendleton-wrapped purse.
Lisa is now with her family that have gone before her, as she talked of them often. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Elmer “Jiggs” Adams and Tessie (Horsecapture) Adams, her mother Carol (Adams) Sparvier, a son Johnny Weston, and grandson Benz Weston.
She is survived by her father Ron Sparks, a brother Michael (Heather) Adams of Helena, MT. Children, Casey Weston of Wolf Point, MT; Jordan (Crystal) Weston of League City, TX; Kaylena Weston of Wolf Point, MT and Chelsea Weston of Fort Wayne, IN. Aunts; Norma Dionne, Raine Adams, Sadie Hamilton, and Crissy (Adams) Mercedes of Wolf Point, MT. Uncles; Les Adams of Billings, MT, Elmer Adams, Ronnie Adams both of Wolf Point, MT along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and her Bayshore Dialysis Family.
Our beautiful Lisa will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. She will forever be remembered for her incredible character and her passion for all things life. Confident, humble, optimistic, and always dependable. She will be greatly missed and is reunited with her grandson, son, mother, and grandparents, whom she missed very much. We love you and will miss your beautiful smile, voice, and inspiration but your willingness and dedication are instilled in our hearts and minds.
