Vida was one of my favorite people and she will be missed by many. Her humor always brightened my day even when she threatened to “give me the beats”. She leaves behind family and friends but is at peace with her savior. My condolences to Joanne and all her family.

Vida had a beautiful soul. Whenever I saw her she was smiling and laughing. Best star quilt maker I knew from my younger days-once in a while all hand stitched. One time she brought a quilt to my in-laws house, wanting to sell it. It had patterned material as part of the plain colored star. I commented that I’d never seen one like it. She said, “I dreamt it, so I put it together this way.” It was the first star quilt that I’d seen with the patterned material. A humble, family loving, quiet beautiful Native American lady. She has earned her blessings. May her family be comforted by the love and memories of this lovely woman.
