Billy was (my grandfather Larry’s brother) and I always liked talking with him about family history, Clarksville, Montana life, etc.) I appreciated that he came all the way down to Iowa every year to see everyone, and bring his watermelon and hang out with the Strauser family.
Everyone will really miss his humor and great smile. My condolences to all his family and friends from Montana to Iowa. -Rick Nootnagel

Bill was a favorite uncle. He loved life! He loved watermelon and homemade ice cream. We loved him and wish we could have spent more time with him. He came to the Strauser Reunions in Clarksville, Iowa whenever he could, (which was his hometown.) Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. He knew Christ as his Savior, so we know he is in the arms of Jesus now. ??

Bill was one of my favorite cousins. My folks, Earl and Mildred Good were very close to him. Remember many visits with Bill and family. The first time Monte got to go hunting on east side, it was with Dad and Bill. Last time we were in Wolf Point we had lunch with him and wonderful visit. I have many fond memories of time spent with Bill and family over the years. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. One of my favorite scriptures is Revelation 21:3-5 and I’ve found it to be very encouraging.
Michael A. Heffron says
Bill was my great uncle (Bill and my grandfather Lawrence were brothers). I enjoyed speaking with him when I could. He possessed a wealth of information regarding family history and he looked so much like my late grandfather it was almost unnerving! Bill was a very kind man with an easy-going nature. My late father thought the world of him as well and he thoroughly enjoyed regular phone conversations with Bill. My deepest sympathies go out to Bill’s wife Gloreen, all of Bill’s children and grandchildren plus his brother Paul. May Bill rest in peace.
Mary Jo Boyd says
Sending all of my thoughts and prayers to The Strauser family, Marty, Jeff, Sheryl, Glen, Shelley and Ross and to Gloreen (Azure) and extended family members. I lived right next door to the Strausers for years so The Boyd’s got to know the Strauser’s quite well. Even tho some of us left Poplar, Bill managed to stay close by, he married my one and only brother-in-law’s mother, Gloreen Azure. I only have the best memories of Bill, always very nice, kind and gentle…I don’t think that Bill had a mean bone in his body.
May you R.I.P. Bill forever and ever <3 Sincerely, Mary Jo Boyd
Thinking of you Sheryl, Jeff and Marty,,,will call you Sheryl soon…Love ya,,,
