Adelle Rose “Curly” McClammy was born on May 30th, 2001. She left us on April 9th, 2023. Adelle was the youngest of 3 children. She was named after her paternal grandmother and got her nickname “Curly” from her dad when she was just a baby. She had crazy curly hair just like him and he was proud of that!
Adelle went to Poplar Public Schools and worked at Tribal Express for awhile. Even as a little girl she was a talented artist, covering the walls in her bedroom with her drawings (a lot of Aliens!), poems she liked and posters of “Rick and Morty” one of her favorite shows. She liked it so much she could repeat episodes (and a lot of them!) verbatim.
More of her favorite things were playing video games, walking at night and looking at the stars, lifting weights, and especially being “Auntie” to her niece, Georgette. They liked to snack and watch movies together.
Curly got a kick out of watching funny Tik Tok posts. Her contagious laugh got everyone going. While being a huge Bob Marley fan she owned all of the Marvel superheroes, a testament to the little kid in her! One of her dreams was to go up in a hot air balloon even though she didn’t like heights very much.
Her favorite love story movie was “The Notebook.” She had a big heart and loved her family so much. You could count on her to be the one to come up to you, give you a hug, then tell you she loved you!
As a picky eater she would pick out the green flecks in her ramen noodles because she didn’t know what they were. She only liked certain soups and the ones she did like had to have a PB&J sandwich with them! Her sausage had to be burnt and she wouldn’t eat bacon unless she cooked it herself (she always did the dishes though!).
Adelle loved animals and when her pit bull “Beauty” who she had for 4 years died she was heartbroken.
Adelle is survived by her father Willis McClammy (Brenda), her mother Paula Owens, brother Jubal McClammy, sister Jettison (William Big Talk), niece Georgette, special friend Natalie Cooper, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 17 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Poplar. Interment will follow at Poplar City Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Paula and family, I really don’t know what to say, but this, I hope you find your way through this and you have my support and prayers.

Adele came to me on March 31st to wish me a happy birthday, that meant a lot to me and I will always think of her as an animal lover and she cared so much about her cat Simba and I always brought food for her when she didn’t have any. No words can describe what a parent goes through when your loved one has gone home, Jesus said he wouldn’t leave you nor forsake you and will not put on your shoulders what you can not handle, you will get thru this nightmare, I hope & pray for each and everyone in the family.
