Almyra Lynn GrayHawk, age 50, made her journey to the spirit world on Dec. 20, 2022. She was born on Feb. 14, 1972 to Keva Spotted Bird and Frederick Lemay. She was then adopted and raised by Carol Spotted Bird and Benjamin GrayHawk.
Myra attended Brockton High School where she was a cheerleader ad played basketball. Myra enjoyed playing dice, cards, and her word puzzles. She really enjoyed visiting family and friends. Mom loved her cup of crushed up ice, no matter what type of weather it was.
Myra met Edwin then later in 1990 was blessed with a daughter Evangeline GrayHawk. She later met and married Loren Boadle and in 1997 was blessed with her big baby Laney Boadle. Then later on in life she got a job as a cook at Brockton School.
Almyra is survived by her daughters Evangeline (Jonathan) RunsThrough of Frazer, Laney (Devin) Boadle of Poplar; her husband Richard Melbourne of Poplar; her adopted daughter Laureen (Jimmy) Combs; siblings Amber White Bear, Troy (Jaquienta) Fast Horse, Errol, Ronald, Jennifer, Wilma, Ronnie and Joseph YellowHammer, Mary Ellen Frislie, Jolene GrayHawk, Melda GrayHawk, Justin (Orlonda) GrayHawk, Jason (Tana) GrayHawk, Bradley (Maureen) GrayHawk, Ben (Julia) GrayHawk III, Llewellyn “Tote” (Willa) GrayHawk, Terry GrayHawk, Lenny GrayHawk, Tim Lingle, Joyce Growing Thunder, Pete Dupree, John (Jackie) Spotted Bird; cousins, Kae (Bear) Roberts, Gina, Myron, Larissa (Darwin) Spotted Bird, Kori Good Bird, Merlino, Waverly Bear, Traci and Misty YellowHammer, Royce (Carol) Spotted Bird, Steven, Alyssa, Alex and Trey Firemoon; adopted brother Rusty Denny; aunts Doris Spotted Bird, Rose Mirsette, Fayda Lemay, Floreen Person, Fonda Lemay, Deann Lemay; uncles Edward Lemay, Rusty Denny; grandchildren Trevor Chaske, Ruby Mae, Frederick James, Teverick Wallace, Jonathan Keno III, Mia Elmira, BamBam, Layne and Leighton, April (Tyler) YellowHammer, Kia, PD and Tah’nee Thunderchild.
Almyra had numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and relatives too many to mention.
Myra is preceded in death by her mom Keva and father Frederick as well as her adopted parents Carol and Benjamin; her brother William FastHorse; granddaughter Johnnie Girl and longtime friends Colleen Devereaux.
