Barbara LaMae Grandchamp, age 77, died on December 21, 2014 of cancer. She was born December 31, 1932 the oldest of 9 children in Poplar, a daughter of Joe and Leah Bauer.
She attended Frazer High School. She married Dusette Grandchamp on November 1, 1954 in Wolf Point. Over their years of marriage the couple brought six children into their lives. Charles Bisbee came into her life and added one more son and two grandchildren to the family. Her children remember her for her abundant patience and endless kindness. Her family was everything to her and there was nothing she would not do to bring happiness and LOVE to them. She was dedicated to her family and friends and was gifted at bringing warmth and happiness to all she touched.
Barbara enjoyed gardening, writing poems, crocheting, watching western movies and reading. She loved her grandchildren. Birthday cards were given she never forgot your special day. Barbara was put in the National Library of Poetry and received numerous awards.
Barbara is survived by three daughters, Peggy Jo (Mitch) Martin of Great Fall, Shelley Marie (Keven) Johnston of Poplar and Leah Renee Granchamp of Billings; three sons Dale Eugene (Joellen) Grandchamp and James Dusette Grandchamp both of Oswego, Douglas Jay (Willow) Grandchamp, Loren Bisbee both of Wolf Point. And her partner for the past fourteen years Charles Bisbee, eighteen grandchildren: Mike, Colette, Paulette, Michele, Mitchell, Gladys, Paige, Shelden, Tiffany, Doug Jr., Honey, Jay, Dusette, Ryan, Joshua, Alisha, Mike and Renee Bisbee and sixteen great-grandchildren: Marty, Jessie, Cole, Brandon, Barbara, Amirra, Rylee, Mason, Braydon, Kaymia, Riley, Lalla, Savannah, Lucas, Levi, Terrell, Taylor and Sunny, what an AWESOME Grandmother-Granny. Four sisters, Debra Wright, Pat Arthur and Judy Fourstar of Oswego, Katie Bauer of Billings; brothers Joe Bauer of California and Edward Bauer of Oswego.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Leah Bauer, husband Dusette, sisters Joann Bauer, Joyce Stevenson and brother Sam Bauer all of Oswego and Mike Bisbee of Wolf Point.
We want to thank all her many friends who brought her so much joy and enriched her soul. Mom rest in eternal peace, we love you.
The family would like to thank all who were a care giver to mom and helped make her final days comfortable. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Funeral services will be celebrated by Pastor Steve Smith at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
A feed will be held at the old Wolf Point Community Hall following the graveside services.
