Our loving Corrine Ann Yellow Owl went home to the Lord with open arms om September 13, 2023.
Corrine was born on April 25, 1967 in Poplar, MT to Gertrude Yellow Owl and Raymond Yellow Owl, Sr. She lived in Poplar all of her life. Corrine worked as a CAN at the Poplar Hospital as well as a laborer at A&S Industries. She was also a housekeeper In Great Falls, MT and a lunch lady at Poplar schools. She graduated with her high school diploma from Poplar schools in 1986. She also received her GED from Clearfield, Utah. She was also one of the best cooks at Tribal Express in Poplar, MT.
She liked to cruise around, laugh and visit with family and friends. She loved to tease, cook and take care of her grandbabies, the best she could.
Corrine is survived by her three daughters, Rhianon Lynett Darnell, Payton Marie Darnell and Tiki Ann Spotted Wolf; sister Sharon Yellow Owl; brothers Mike Yellow Owl and James Burshia-Bighorn; grandchildren Eva and Elizabeth Darnell, Haven and Hazel GreyBear, Liam Soto and Luciano Darnell, Isabella Crow as well as the rest of her grandchildren; her ten nieces and six nephews all of Poplar, MT.
She is preceded in death by her father Raymond Yellow Owl, Sr., mother Gertrude Yellow Owl and brothers Warren, Myron, Doug, William and Charles Yellow Owl; sisters Arlene Red Eagle, Marie Yellow Owl and Rhonda Yellow Owl; nieces Tiki Crow and Terri Long Elk and nephew Donald Eagleman.

Corrine is loved by many and will be missed by all.

My condolences goes out to the family and her daughters: My uncle was Raymond Yellow Owl. I was raised by James and Dora Yellow Owl (Young man), as a kid. My brothers Albert, David, and me (Sumner) sent off to Wahpeton Indian School as kids. Never to return to the Rez. We have lost touch with are cousins. So sorry to hear about my first cousin passing.
