Ed Sofil passed away February 23, 2014 at Faith Lutheran Home in Wolf Point. Ed was the last surviving child of 11 children born to Della Mae and Henry Sofil of Hensler, North Dakota. Ed was born on June 23, 1928 and lived his adult life in McCone County. He worked various jobs for Si Brown, Pete Mickolio, and Melvin Johnson.
He lived for the past two years at Faith Lutheran Home in Wolf Point. He grew to love the residents and staff at Faith Home. Ed gave his life to the Lord in 1945 and was baptized in the Redwater River in 1950 by Pastor Lang.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Vida Cemetery in Vida, Montana. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point is in charge of arrangements. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Home in Wolf Point.
