Frederick “Freddie” Clifford DeMarrias, Jr., age 74 of Poplar, MT, passed away on January 12, 2020. He was born in Vanport, OR to Ellen “Lilly” Charbonneau and Frederick DeMarrias, Sr. He was the only child.
Freddie was an enrolled member of the Sisseton Sioux Tribe and served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1973. He worked at A&S Industries, Poplar Public School and went out to Portland, OR to work before returning to Poplar.
Freddie sang with the Blue Ribbon Band for the past 40 years. People would come from all over to hear him sing. He was well known for “Unchained Melody” and many other songs.
He was the father to Tony DeMarrias, Kayleen DeMarrias and Jason Dupree and had many grandchildren.
Freddie is preceded in death by his parents; grandson Johnnie LaSart and his daughter Michelle DeMarrias.
