On the afternoon of November 21, 2020 George was called home to our Creator at the Poplar Hospital in Poplar.
George Walking Eagle was born December 15, 1960 to Donald Walking Eagle and Ida (Ricker) Walking Eagle. George started working for road construction since he was 18 years old, he worked until he started having health problems. George loved to go for rides with his grandchildren. He spent a lot of time with his grandchildren.
George and his father-in-law, Willard Miller had a special friendship. They spent many hours visiting, laughing, and talking. George has a big family even though they couldn’t spend time with him, they still love him a lot.
He is survived by his wife Beverly; daughter Dani Sue; two sons Benji and George Jr.; sisters Patsy (Bud) TwoBulls, Debbie Walking Eagle; two brothers Donald and Alfred Walking Eagle; grandchildren Keli, Trentin and Jaden Youpee, Xavier, Benjamin, Bryson, Andre and Jace Walking Eagle, Dylan and Grayson Walking Eagle; great grandson Rashone Youngman; nieces Lydania Hagadone, Stacey Pipe, Janis, Jackie and Ida Spotted Bird, Jeri Ann Kirn, Tasha Jordan, Lucinda Darrington, Theda Buckles, Kayleen DeMarrias, Ida and Chili Walking Eagle, Tony DeMarrias, Walkin Brown, Charles TwoBulls, Royce and Dwain Spotted Bird, Emmett Buckles, Alfred and Buddy Walking Eagle, Teddy Buckles.
George is preceded in death by his parents Donald and Ida Walking Eagle; 3 sisters Kathleen Ricker, Irene Walking Eagle, Junia Jones,; maternal grandparents Mildred and Ted Ricker’ paternal grandparents Adele and Lucien Walking Eagle; nieces Jonna Spotted Bird, Tina Whiteman, Charlene Walking Eagle; grandchildren Jenna Spotted Bird, Dwain Spotted Bird. Jr., John LaSarte and Vanessa TwoBulls.
Extended family includes; Drazts, Spotted Bulls, Rickers, Duprees, Burshias, Eagles, Daniels and Cantrells.
George comes from a large family, we apologize if we left anyone out.

Oh no. Not my good friend George? Soooooo very sorry Beverly, Danni, Benji, and George Jr. My brother I’ll miss you. So many memories of fun days, challenging day and teaching you all about Christ the Lord. Hug all the grand kids for me. Look to Jesus in these trying days. Things may get tougher in the days to come. We are living in the last days. I love you all. You’re all so special to me.

never in my life have i ever met a couple so close.. so neat. so well kept.. did everything together.. kept there house nice and neet and always had a really good homecooked meal , breakfast.. attended almost all communtiy events for many years.. spent alot of money here in poplar at these events . that he my dad (george walking eagle ) had to leave our rezavation to earn what he proudly gave his wife and kids working on heavy equitment , pipe layer.. labor… takes a strong man to do these kinds of jobs.. to me this man was tough.. never hardly ever tired after looking back in the years of thinkn of these to married people.. i remember soo much of him and her.. we had big bbqz in our backyard for manly his and her friends.. some family .. man my dad was /is a crazy one.. i can remember him doing odd things when music was playing.. so crazy.. currently his grandkids like to play 70s 80s rock .. the songs they pick makes me think about them and how they all share a part of him.. these past months are year i moved home to my mom and dad. i got to enjoy how it is to be a part of everyday life with my brothers all the kids .. then realized there is no place like home.. once you home for awhile everything just makes life alil better.. way better.. my kids actully left me for my parents.. was wanting a big christmas with my dad and mom. in fact i planing it already.. my heart hurts.. all of the kids too. its so sad.. but yeah , he has alot people in family that are all hurt.. u can tell the hurt by being near them.. everyone hurt.. its not goin to be same but he fought a long fight.. and still during this tyme attented community things with wife.. which just so happened to be funnerals… charles, walkn, royce, buddy, and lil alfred.. !! thank you for showing my dad a new part of ur lives .. always dani sue walking eagle, and family…

Sorry I didn’t get to attend the services gramps…you made the house feel like home even though I didn’t live there…at times I guess you can say I stayed for a while here and there at the house…Me, Ashlee, Gramma Deb and Brit will always love you and miss you ❤️ Safe travels grampa porg….say hi to mom for me and tell her how we’re doing and that I love her and miss her so much…prayers to everyone staying at the house down there..❤️
