Roberta Renz and George Brien welcomed Georgia Kay Lee Brien into the world on October 18, 1958, in Poplar, Montana. On November 7, 2023, Georgia Johnson joined her loved ones as her life here on earth ended. Georgia’s childhood was mostly in Poplar where she has resided for the majority of her life. She spent a couple of years on the LDS Placement Program in Washington State but Poplar has always been her home.
Georgia will always be remembered for making her home beautiful inside and out. She was very conscientious about her yard work, patio, garden and her “she shed”. Georgia would make sure her home and yard were beautifully decorated to celebrate the holidays and seasons of the year. Georgia loved being a good hostess, eager to prepare holiday dinners for her family and friends. Her loved ones will remember the many happy times together Georgia created with these gatherings and they will be a part of our lives forever.
Georgia leaves behind her husband Gerald “Jerry” Johnson, her children, Lesley Brien, Dorrance Jr., and Coye Steele. Her precious grandchildren, Kole Headdress, Tiona and Zane Brown, Alexis, Dorrance III, Xander, and Remington Steele and Ezra Montclair and lastly two great-granddaughters, Havie Jean and Sevie Lee. Other close family members surviving Georgia are, her aunt Nancy Samuelson, sisters, Paula FireMoon, Anita Brien and Barbara Johnson, brothers Robert and Richard Brien and brother-in-laws Gene Johnson and Dewey Johnson. Georgia had many cousins, nieces and nephews that will miss her as well as her friends and neighbors.
Loved ones welcoming Georgia are her parents, Roberta and George, her brothers Harold and Roger, and father of her children, Dorrance Steele Sr. Georgia will be reunited with her paternal grandparents, Napoleon and Delia Brien, maternal grandparents, Wilbur Renz and Lucille Samuelson, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
