Iris โCissieโ Anderson left this world on June 5, 2022. She was born on October 1, 1940 to Eunice Blacktail and William Whitehead.
She had three brothers, Lyle Denny, Bill Whitehead and Russell Denny.
Cissie lived an adventurous life. She knew many people.
Cissie had one daughter, Wallie WhiteHawk who blessed her with 6 grandkids who she raised as her own. She also had many adopted kids who called her mom. She lived for her family.
She liked spending time at Bingo. She was involved with getting the vote out for many years, Traveling tirelessly across the reservation.

I was so heartbroken to hear of Auntie Cissy’s passing. She was such a kind sweet, wonderful woman. I am going to miss her dearly. I enjoyed visiting with her at bingo. Her and my Mother were best friends growing up. R.I.P Auntie. God has another beautiful lady in his kingdom. When I worked at Fort Peck Community College, I met Iris. What a force of nature she was. I’m so glad we were friends. I’m so sorry for her loss. May the Creator wrap loving arms around all of her family and friends during this time of grieving.
