On Friday May 17, 2024 our beloved father, papa, brother, and uncle James Keith IronBear, Sr. (Son) “Cetan Kinyan” Flying Hawk, age 62, of Poplar, MT made the journey home to be with his mother, father, sisters, brothers, his baby Mahogany and our Lord and Savior.
James (Son) was born to Mary Red Feather and Harry IronBear, Sr. on October 27, 1961 in Poplar, MT. James (Son) attended school in Poplar. In 1985 James (Son) enlisted in the Army, around the same time he met Lanelle R. Ricker, together they had four children, Jessica, Carrie, Brittany and James IronBear, Jr. James (Son) worked most of his life to provide for his family. He worked at A&S Industries, various other places and ASWRSS until he retired in 2019. He enjoyed being home with his grandkids he loved so dearly. Our dad always loved when all of us were together. He loved being with family, he loved talking to his sisters and brothers. He would always joke around, laugh and listen to his rock music. In his early years he liked to cruise around. Our dad and brother will be greatly missed.
James is survived by his children, Jess, Carrie (Tracy), Brittany (Lawrence), James Jr. (Jen) of Poplar.; grandchildren, Shawn, Jaymin WiseSpirit, Angel WiseSpirit, Neveah White, Kah’Lilah, Brixton Head Carrier of Glendive, Kayla, Jackie, Mary, Jennifer, Jamie and James III of Poplar, James (Maui) Jones of Billings; sisters Gloria Buckles and family, Linda (Dave) Lezard and family, Cheryl (Butch) Boyd and family, Myra (Jon) Daniels and family; brothers Anthony (Patrice) IronBear and family, Ivan Roberts and family; nephews Kenny Olson, Jr. and family, Bryan Granbois, Lou Don IronBear and family, Harry IronBear III “Hokey” and family; nieces Cindy Jo Bear and family, Debra Granbois and family, Lisa IronBear and family, Steffie EagleBoy and family, Kimberly Shields and family and numerous other relatives.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary RedFeather and Harry IronBear, Sr.; baby girl Mahogany; brothers Harry IronBear, Jr. (Hokshina), Lonnie IronBear, Alfred IronBear; sisters Betty Jo Bear, Beth White Bull, Charmaine IronBear, Sandra; nieces Dana Lezard, Shannon Lezard, Denise Bear, Amber IronBear; nephews Alfred IronBear, Jr. “AJ”, Harold Boyd, Jr., Merle IronBear; uncle Arnold EagleBoy, Jr. GreyBull and numerous other relatives.
