Wamni Waci Wiya, June Carol Daniels Clark, age 75, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2019 at the Faith Lutheran Home in Wolf Point. June was the 3rd child of Randolph and Mabel Daniels.
Mom had many accomplishments in her life. In high school, she placed 2nd in the nation for the fastest typist at 122 words a minute (on the old time typewriter!). She was a contestant for Miss Indian World. She was well known for her baking, decorating cakes, crafts, making starquilts. She was a business woman on the Red Bottom Celebration Committee and was active in the Presbyterian Church in her younger years.
Mom graciously sacrificed her family and career to learn dialysis treatments so her mother could remain at home while receiving dialysis 3 times a week for 11 years with monthly visits to Billings for check ups.
In June 2011, her granddaughter/niece, Tanya Rae Schwab gave her a generous piece of her to help extend her quality of life for her when her kidney failed. We will be eternally grateful.
June is survived by her daughter, Kim (Chuck) Johnson and family, Richard (Marla) Clark and family, Ervin Clark and family, and Kris Clark and family; sisters, Clarice and family, Florence (Jerome) and family, Helen (Fred) Bighorn and family; brother, Robert Daniels and family, Roy (Pam) Daniels and family; special nieces, Jeneen (Joel) Spang, Amy and James DeHerrera and family, Cheryl (Alvin) Savior and family, Shari Daniels and family, Gale Headdress and family, Resa Laroque and family, Toni Henderson, Diane Wetsit and family, Lori (Donovan) Archambault, Debbie and Ron His Horse’s Thunder, Coleen Clark, and Judy Rodriguez; special nephews, Marty Reum, Michael Turcotte and family, Hunter Archambault and family, Ron (Ruth) Jackson; cousins, Peter Dupree, Myra Dupree and Dorothy Dupree; Larry (Edna) Wetsit and her Medicine Lodge Family. Our family is very large; if we have forgotten anyone please forgive us.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Walter Clark; great-grandson, Aaron Wayne; parents, Randolph and Mabel Daniels; grandparents, Peter and Mabel Dupree; her in-laws, Walter and Nellie Clark, Calvin Clark, Wm Ernie Clark, Donald “Duck” Clark, Bernadine Wallace, Alonzo Spang and Rita Track; nephews, Laramie “Fooge” Wallace, and Lanelle Wallace, Randy Headdress, and Jason Bighorn.
Mom, we grew very close this past year and a half, a majority of the time it was just you and I. I will always cherish our time together. Give dad and Aaron a hug for me
