Justine “Tina” Shields was born on February 9, 1972 to Joyce Ricker and Joseph Shields, Jr. Tina went to be with her parents and son DJ on May 26, 2022.
In her lifetime she enjoyed scratch cards, playing machines, cards, take selfies, visit, cruise and laugh with family and friends. Her laugh was one of a kind when you heard it you knew it was Tina.
Tina lived most of her life in Poplar and Wolf Point. She received her education on Poplar and Anadarko, OK. She worked at Wal-Mart, Buckhorn, Tribal Express and the Homestead Inn. She was always willing to lend a hand and help in anyway she could. She was a generous and caring person.
Tina became a mother and is survived by Samir, Adison, Ryan, Leelani, Damon, Alyna, Tyrell, Anthony, Kaiyla and Nichole. Tina loved her babies very much. Grandbabies whom she cherished, Spencer, Brayden, Leilani, Leita and Donovan. Sisters, Kitty Reynolds of Phoenix, AZ, Kimberly Cooper of Poplar, Felicia Lemay of NM, Jay Dee Shields of Wolf Point. Brothers Fred Lemay, Joseph Shields III of Crow Agency, MT and Chaska Foley of CA. Adopted mother Janice Hamilton, adopted sisters Vearlene Denny and Bernita Chapman. Best friend Candice Spotted Bird and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends she cared for you all.
Tina is preceded in death by her parents and son Daniel “DJ” Renz, Jr, sister Jolene Shields, maternal grandparents Ezra Ricker and Mary Bear, Barney Crow Ghost and Angeline Cloud, paternal grandparents Doris and Joseph Shields, Sr.
Tina your children will miss you dearly but you now safe in the hands of the Lord with your parents. We know you are holding you son DJ.

A wake will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at the Poplar Cultural Center in Poplar. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Poplar Cultural Center in Poplar. Interment will follow at Poplar City Cemetery.
Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements. Condolences for the family may be left using the form below.
