Kenneth Lynn Olson, Sr. “Kenny-O”, our beloved father, brother, nephew, uncle, and grandpa, left to the spirit world on March, 3, 2022 at his home in Poplar.
Kenny, the son of Raquel Ann Young and Lewis Youngman, Jr., was born on September 4, 1956 and raised in Poplar, Montana. He was known by many who knew him because of his kind heart and crazy sense of humor, he gave many crazy nicknames. He also liked to fish, play horseshoes, play machines, and most of all, he liked attending Pow-wows. If he wasn’t doing any of that, he loved music and always had big loud speakers jamming music at home or taking a cruise.
Kenny is survived by his kids, whom he loved and his grandkids, who he thought the world of, Lynda and Kids (Kendra, Gavyn, and Leon), Jenny and kids, Tyson and Keli, Marlin and kids, Corvette and Maliah, Kenny, Jr., and kids, and his babygirl, Shoni Walking Eagle. He also raised as his own, Loudon Ironbear and Roletta Laundreaux; 2 adopted sons, Loren Bighorn and Ralph Hamilton; sisters, Julia Young and kids, and Jonelle Menz White and kids; adopted sisters, Verlynn and Wilma Longee; brothers, Robert O, Keith, Ervin Olson, Curtis (Allen) and Lester Menz; his 2 aunts he thought the world of and loved dearly, Margaret Hapa and Yvette Todd; many nieces and nephews; special nephew, Robert Carpentier; his first-born grandchild, Carol Faith Burshia who he cherished and spoiled rotten; many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren too numerous to mention.
Related families include the Youngman, Lester, Youpee, Longtree, and Charbeneau families. Sorry if we forgot anyone, there is too many to mention.
Kenny is preceded in death by his mom, Raquel Young; dad, Lewis Youngman, Jr.; son, Leon Troy Olson; brother, Levi Olson; and granddaughter, Kenzley Olson and Charlynn Carpentier.
A wake will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at the Poplar Cultural Center. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 14, 2022 at the Poplar Cultural Center. Interment will follow at the Poplar City Cemetery.
