Uncle, I’m going to always remember the hug and support you gave, without words, when my mom passed away Aug 2001. Most of all I’ll always remember the love and protection I felt as a child living across the road from you before the USAF relocated my family. I couldn’t always see you behind the screen door but if I even put my hand on the door handle, you made sure I would hear you from across the road. Confession- sometimes I would do that just to make sure you were still there keeping an eye out.
I wrote this next paragraph after the emotional support I received from my aunt Jewel and my uncles Louie and Curly when my sister Robbin passed away in March 2020. My maternal Youpee family – I love you all so much – it’s the only love I’ve ever known. Your love and continued support has kept me on the path of hard work and doing my best, always. So, thank you all for a solid beginning, without it I’m not sure where I’d be. Most of my life, I wished my siblings had you all in their beginning too. I love you, I will see you soon. My spirit needs it.
COVID changed my travel plans to visit my family and continues to do so this day. However, here’s a reminder to make the phone calls to check on your loved ones and family members. They will appreciate it.
Rest well uncle – love you eternally. Your niece Shaggy ~
