Our dear and precious angel, Mariah Lynn Burshia was called home on August 2, 2019. Mariah was the oldest child born to Rodney Burshia and Robyn Nygard on January 22, 1994. She came into this world as a fighter and proved to all that knew her that there was no obstacle that she could not overcome.
She was a girl that touched so many lives with her positive action, whether it be helping someone with their children or just being there to give moral support. It was in her nature to always put everyone else first. After graduation from Brockton High School she went on to earn her associates degree in human services at Poplar Community College, and graduated in May of 2016. In the fall of 2017, she continued her education and graduated in May of 2018 with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from the University of North Dakota. She was currently employed as a case manager for HPDP. Although she struggled with many health issues throughout her college years, she never gave up. She continued to prove to us all that you take one day at a time and keep pushing on.
She is survived by her mother, Robyn Nygard of Brockton; her father Rodney Burshia of Poplar; two brothers, Hunter Burshia of Brockton, and Walker Burshia of Brockton; and her two fur babies, Molly and Bella, who were an important part of her life. She is also survived by her maternal grandparents, Robert and Diana Nygard of Fort Peck, MT, and paternal grandparents, Larry and Nancy Burshia of North Brockton, many aunts and uncles, numerous cousins, and special friends. Services will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Poplar, Montana at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 9, 2019. with interment at Riverview Cemetery in Brockton.
The family of Mariah Lynn Burshia invites you to please join them for refreshments and fellowship the Fellowship Hall immediately following the service.

Mariah was such a sweet person. I wish I had the strength to overcome obstacles in life that she did. I can’t think of many people that showed the courage and strength that Mariah did. She was a role model to us all. My most sincere condolences go out to the Burshia and Nygard families. I’ve been longtime friends with both families and my heart hurt for all of you.

Dear Family,
Please know that Mariah impacted those far and near. She impressed me with her perseverance, joy and smiles through difficulties. She embraced all life had to offer in school and on the court and field. I first remember her as a XC runner trudging up and down the hills with my son Kyle back with Culbertson/Brockton coop…she encouraged all and was an inspiration to everyone.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
