Marie Mae YellowOwl, age 67, went home to be with our Lord on August 3, 2020 from natural causes.
Marie was born May 10, 1953 in Poplar, Montana to Raymond YellowOwl, Sr. and Gertrude YellowOwl (Shields).
She lived in Poplar all her life. She was a bartender at majority of the bars in Poplar. Marie was the life of the party. Her friends knew she was that “once in a lifetime friend.” In her last years she enjoyed her cooking shows and visits with anyone who stopped in. She had a very special dog named Cuddles that was with her wherever she went.
Marie had 4 children, the late Tiki Ann Crow, Lynett Kay YellowOwl, Lindy Lorraine Crow and William Charles Cantrell; grandchildren Lillianna and Guillermo Aguilar, Johnathan Walking Eagle, Marie Helen Ricker, Rylee Grace Jackson, Isabella Crow Tiki Ann Spotted Wolf, Rhianon and Payton Darnell. Marie is one of many children of Gertrude and Raymond. She is survived by Sharon YellowOwl, Michael YellowOwl, Corrine YellowOwl and James Burshia.
She is preceded in death by her dad Raymond YellowOwl, mom Gertrude Shields; brothers Warren, Myron, Doug, William YellowOwl; sisters Arlene Red Eagle and Rhonda YellowOwl; grandson Emilio Venegas; daughter Tiki Ann Crow.
She will be missed many days ahead.
