I’ve know Mike since I was little and I have alot of good memories with him. One of my favorite ones was when me and Jim saw him at albersons and Jim told me that he was hard of hearing and that I needed to yell when I talked to him. So he could hear me so I walked over to him and yelled “Hi Mike” as loud as I could. Mike was a good man and ive always looked up to Mike and always will. You will be missed.

Moon and family,
You are all in my morning and evening prayers and I think of all of you during the times in between. Mike was good to me. I thought of him as a second dad and boy sometimes we would fight just like a kid and her dad but most of the time he was just there for me, even when he didnt know he was helping me. He was there for me when my own dad passed away as well as the rest of the S.O. family. When someone goes to work at the sheriffs office they end up family as well, Mike treated everyone good and it wouldnt take much for everyone to think of a time when Mike was there for them, thats just the kind of guy Mike was, i will pray in the days and weeks ahead, I know you will all miss him a great deal.

Rest in peace uncle Mike, seems like all our old ones are passing quicker and quicker, sad to see you go but glad your no longer in pain. “What is life, it is the flash of a firefly in the night. It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime.
It is the little shadow which runs across the grass
and loses itself in the sunset”…..see you on the other side of the camp
Pr. Chris says

Mike
I’m sorry it has taken me this long but I have to tell you that this is very hard for me even now, the love I have for you is very powerful and strong. It’s very strong like the love I have for mom. I had a mild heart attack at mom’s service! Can you imagine me having another one at your funeral? I think God was tell me I shouldn’t go because he put a surgery in my way of getting there. You should know the lengths I went to try and get you home so you would visit your youngest brother. I wasn’t being selfish I just missed you and you are my hero and always will be. Heck I even tried to join the Army at age 15, 16 and 17 I finally got in and requested Korea 2nd Infantry Division just so I could get close and visit you. You don’t know that my quest of trying to get in the same place as you cost me so dearly that it took 30 plus years to get over. I will never forget the great times we spent in Korea and the short time I was there with you in June. When I completed the going up on the hill thing I believe you were proud of me because when I got back you kind of had a smile on your face and told me next time I should go to Poplar and do the Inipi and go up on the there, and after that do the Sundance. I’m not sure I’m strong enough but because you told me to I’ll try if funds are available! Michael I love you with all my heart and I will try to be the kind of man you always were and I’ll pray to all the direction’s that when the sun sets on me for the last time I’ll be reunited with you and the rest of our ancestor! Until then brother!
