Paul Dean White Bear, Cante Mato (Bear Heart), has left our world to be with his mother and father on December 5, 2021 at Benefis Health Service in Great Falls, MT.
Paul was born in Poplar, Montana on July 17, 1971 to his mother, Melvine Spotted Bird and father Donald White Bear. Dakota on mom side and Arikara on dad side.
Paul lived in both Fort Kipp and Brockton growing up. He went to school in Brockton where in high school he enjoyed playing basketball. He graduated from Brockton in 1990.
After high school he completed job corps in Trapper’s Creek located in Darby, Montana. Paul was truly a man of all trades. His various jobs include, seismographer, janitorial work, assistant cook, head cook, cashier. His favorite position was being a head cook for any restaurant he worked for. He made so many friends along the way and mentioned them numerous times.
Paul moved all over but, planted his roots in Great Falls. He was raised to work hard and not to depend on anyone, he worked very hard all his life. He never took one day for granted, when he did het to visit family, he would try his hardest to find them all to spend time with them. He could visit and tease all day. He was well known for his humor.
Paul will be dearly missed by his family, friends and every casino in Great Falls.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, grandparents John and Virginia (Powell) Spotted Bird, Joseph and Mae (Red Bear) White Bear, brothers Bernard and Charles “Rocky” Youpee, best friend Alesia “Baby girl” Black Dog, aunties Josaphine, Catherine, Carole, Viola, Caroline, Genevieve and Athelia, uncles Leland, Joseph, William and Alton, nephews Andre Dean Good Soldier and Thomas Lingle, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren too numerous to mention.
