Her profession as a Montana State Licensed Addictions Counselor is where she made her greatest contribution to her people and community. Roberta began working in the field of alcoholism counseling at the Detox Center in 1974 and retired when it was the Spotted Bull Treatment Center in 2007.

My deepest Condolence to the family of Roberta. I’ve enjoy knowing her. We sat and visit a lot when I deliver her Avon to all the employees at Spotted Bull Treatment. We would sit and talk, laugh and what ever else came up. I will miss her a lot. Talk about all her children, grandkid etc. She always made my day if I wasn’t happy. Its like she knew I wasn’t myself. And she would give me some advice. My Roberta I will miss you when I return to Poplar. We would always run into each other. Miss everyone back home. Poplar will always be my home. Rest in Peace and may god comfort you all. Gay (Stephanie) Paulson Pennington. My angel in the sky looking down on all of us….
