Ronald L. Adams our dear father, brother, uncle, cousin, and grandpa made his journey home on March 21, 2024.
“Ron” or “Ronnie” was born November 23, 1962 to Elmer “Jiggs” Adams and Tessie Horse Capture-Adams in Wolf Point, Montana.
Ron attended schools in Wolf Point and graduated in 1982. During his grade school years, he was a member of Yellow Jackets Baseball Team. He was one of the best pitchers on the Rez. His south paw pitching made it difficult for batters. He also enjoyed playing pool growing up. It was amazing watching him run a pool table. Always playing with his long braids tucked in his shirt. He also enjoyed traveling to pow wows and loved to go to hairband concerts, he attended a lot.
Ron met Nancy Speed in 1997. Two children were born, son, Alex Jiggs, on October 22, 1998, and Alaina Mae on February 14, 2001. His grandchildren, Stephanie, Ava, Alrich, Adrean, Odin, Jayce, and Stephen were his pride and joy – the light of his life. Ron began his work career as an employee for Petty Ray Seismometer, Looking Eagle, as a silk screener, and worked for diabetic out-reach until the time of his death. He enjoyed going out and monitoring patients, laughing and joking around during his house visits.
Ron is survived by his partner, Nancy; son, Alex; daughters, Alaina, Aleesha, and Andrea; grandchildren, Jayce, Stephan, Stephanie, Ava, Alrich, Adrean, and Odin; brother, Les Adams; sisters, Norma Dionne, Lorraine Adams, Sadie Hamilton, and baby sister Chrissy Adams; sister-in-law, Charlotte Whiteman; and Joan and Buddy Pipe and Family who adopted Ron as their son traditionally.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Tessie Adams; brothers, Johnny, Ray, Elmer, and James; sister, Carol Adams; niece, Lisa Adams; and his dog, Suzy-Q.
Thanks to cousin, Gary “Duck” Clark. Thank you to the Fort Peck Tribes and Fort Peck Diabetes Program, Verbina Saviour and Rose Morsette, the Adams and Speed families. Thanks to everyone for your love and support.
