Sheldon K. Headdress passed away peacefully on January 19, 2021 at the Billings Clinic Hospital.
Sheldon was born in Poplar, MT to Dale Headdress Sr and Norma Gregg Headdress. He grew up in Wolf Point and Poplar. When Sheldon was around 8 years old, he went on the LDS Placement Program, living in Blackfoot, ID. Then going to Seattle, WA and living with the Bird family. He graduated from Poplar High School in 1975. In the fall of 1977, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was honorably discharged in 1981.
Sheldon worked various jobs with the Fort Peck Tribes and retired as the Director of the Maintenance Dept after many years of service. Sheldon married Lori Weaving form Rocky Boy, MT and later divorced. He married Sharon Smith and later divorced. From this union he had two beloved daughters, Aja Headdress and Gina Headdress.
Sheldon was a funny guy, he loved to laugh. Loved music and going to concerts. Loved to travel and hang out with his brothers and friends. He loved to visit and loved to have company come to his home. Especially after he got ill.
Sheldon was a member of the LDS Church and served as the Wolf Point Branch President. He loved and adored his little granddaughter, Ayvia Headdress Heavy Runner.
Sheldon is survived by his two daughters Aja and Gina Headdress and granddaughter Ayvia; four step-sons, DB, Evan, Aaron and Jaime Beston; 6 brothers, Charlie, Arlyn, Henri (Patty) Headdress, Leroy, Lonnie (Juanita) Headdress and Larry (Pearl) Headdress and 3 sisters, Shannon (Bernie) Gonzalez, Ione Hanson, and Doris Thompson.
He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Mitchell and Dale Jr Headdress and sister, Michele Buck Elk.
We love you, Dad, Brother, Uncle, you will be missed.
