Susan Joyce Leddige Davis passed away Friday evening, June 21. 2024 after a long illness.
Susie was born on September 21, 1970 to Dean and JoAnne Leddige. She graduated from Wolf Point High School in 1989 where she excelled in volleyball and track and field. Though she spent the majority of her life on the rolling plains near Wolf Point, Montana, her adventurous spirit led her to join the Navy where she visited far off places including the Philippines.
An exceptional chef, Susie was known for her delicious recipes and always brought the most sought after dish to the community picnic. Susie also had a strong sense of service, exemplified by her military work, her community activism through the Optimist Club and work in the school district.
Susie married Jim Davis in January of 2003 and welcomed their son Dean later that December. They completed their happy family on the farm when they adopted Jay. Susie was one of the strongest, most pragmatic women who accepted whatever difficulties life threw at her with humor, grace and style. After the untimely death of her husband, Susie and the boys moved back into town where she raised her sons with love, compassion and kindness.
Susie lived her life the best she knew how; with a kind word, a strong hug and some good food. Quiet in nature, she was observant and knew when someone was in need. She never hesitated to help, never asking for anything in return. While our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering and is reunited with those she loves.
Susie is survived by her sisters, Jackie (Gerry) and Nina (Pat); sons Dean and Jay; nieces Shyla, Angel, Linda, Calley and Christanna and nephews Kevin and Shan. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Jim; father Dean; mother JoAnne and best friends and brothers Gary and Larry. If we forgot anyone, please know that she loved you dearly.
In honor of her final wishes, there will be a memorial for friends and family on July 1st at 2 pm in the afternoon at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

My heart goes out to her sons, Dean and Jay…and all others who love Susie. I got to know her while she was still in High School. When she returned to Wolf Point, after her honorable discharge from the Navy, she immediately became involved in her community. She was kind, generous, and compassionate. May she Rest In Peace!
