Teresa Robin RedEagle was born in Tacoma, WA on November 21, 1957 and went home to be with the Lord and Savior in Poplar, MT on September 9, 2021.
Teresa was one of six children born to Phillip and Marian RedEagle and raised in Montana, Washington and Alaska. At the time of her passing Teresa was employed by the Indian Health Services of the Fort peck Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes as a health information supervisor.
As a young girl, Teresa learned to love the passionate of the arts. She was a self-taught six and twelve string guitar player and singer. She also created handmade clothes using the crafts of embroidery, knitting and sewing which included creating hand knitted lifelike dolls for the Seattle Supersonics NBA Team in 1979-80. She was also accomplished in drawing and oil painting.
Scholastically she studied and graduated from Blatchley Junior High School and Sitka High School in 1976. In college, Teresa earned an associate degree at Sheldon Jackson College in Sitka, Alaska and Bachelors degree from Seattle University and Seattle Pacific University in 1982 in medical records administration.
She quickly gained employment working for Schick Shadel Treatment Facility in Burien, WA. In the early 1990’s she became an employee of the Indian Health Services in Poplar, MT where she was a health information supervisor until her passing. She volunteered her time to be a severe weather storm watcher for the National Weather Service. Teresa loved shopping for jewelry, perfume and movie memorabilia. She liked the arts, traveling to see museums, movies and Broadway theatre plays. Reading books was also a favorite pastime.
She is preceded in death by her parents Philip and Marian RedEagle, brother Ronald Wade RedEagle, nephews James, Steven, and Scott Salyers.
She is survived by her siter Darlene Salyers, brothers Keith, Philip and Robert RedEagle and niece Robin Salyers. She is also survived by many numerous cousins, nephews an nieces here at Fort Peck, Montana and Washington, as well as her large family of co-workers from 28 years of service at IHS.
A viewing will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at the James Black Dog Center in Fort Kipp, Montana. Interment will follow at the Fort Kipp Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements and condolences for the family can be left by using the form below.
