Willy went to be with the Lord September 14th 2023. Willy was born February 17th 1973 in Wolf Point, Montana to Wilbert “Chief” Jackson and Francis Hotomaine Jackson. He was raised in Frazer Montana where he graduated with the class of 1991. While in high school he played basketball, football and other sports. Frazer school is also where he met Gaydella Gleed they stayed together throughout their high school years and had two children, Jordan Ty and Joseph Aaron. Gaydella and Willy later separated but remained close friends.
Anyone who knew Willy would say he was quiet and kept himself, but to those who were close to him, can tell you stories about his sense of humor and stories of how he would make them laugh. He was able to bring joy and laughter into any room or situation he came across. What brought Willy happiness were his grandsons Liam and Ryder, he adored those boys and his many nephews and nieces. Going to rodeos was a big part of his life. He started off as a bareback rider at age 17 and eventually followed in his dad‘s footsteps as a wild horse racer at the age of 18. He loved wild horse racing and his horses, Buddy and Copenhagen were always a big part of Willy’s life growing up. He was an avid Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bulls and Chicago Bears fan. He loved watching any sports especially watching his nephews and nieces play any sport they were involved in. Recently, he had been spending time watching his extension movie collection and various sports.
Willy is survived by Jordan Ty and Joseph Aaron; his two grandsons, Liam and Ryder; brothers, Mikey Jackson and Aaron Jackson; sisters, Mary Jackson Stafne, Shannon(Roland) Nez, and Charmaine(Willie) Jackson; aunties, Mary Sue Jackson, Wilberta(Marvin) Toavs, and Merle Montclair; and his mother’s lifelong partner, Kenny Wolfe.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Wilbert Chief Jackson and Francis Jackson; sister, Carlene Jackson; brother, James Wayne Jackson; grandmas, Mary B Hayes and Ruth Firemoon; grandpas, Wilbert Jackson, August Hayes, Mike Ryder and many uncles, aunties, and cousins.
Thank you for celebrating Willy’s life. We are sorry if anything was left out or forgotten, it wasn’t our intention. Thank you and God Bless.
