Al Rodney Todd was born on April 2, 1961 in Los Angeles, California to Donald K. Todd (deceased) and Marietta Blount Four Bear. He passed away October 5, 2014 in Poplar.
He grew up in Brockton and graduated from high school at Riverside Indian School in Anadarko, Oklahoma in 1979. After graduation he joined the United States Marine Corps and received an honorable discharge in 1984. Rod worked at A & S Industries, West Electronics, and Poplar Schools. He liked to go hunting, enjoyed taking pictures, and was a #1 Bronco fan. He enjoyed horseshoes and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter Tamara (Brandon) Jefferson of Poplar, his son Doug (Violet) Todd, and JaSara and Iva Todd. Rod is survived by his mother Marietta Four Bear and brothers Darrell K. Todd, Sr., and Wayne Little Crow. He is survived by two sisters Kayleen (Dale) Headdress and Luane Pearl (Tony) Four Bear Brown. Al is survived by grandchildren Kaiden, Ashlyn, Houston, Brooke, Treydan, Sadie, and Hailen. He is survived by grandmothers Joyce Tootoosis and Ruth Todd as well as aunts Vera Beauchamp, Pearl Four Bear, and Arlene Standing. Rod is survived by favorite aunt Rae Jean Belgarde. He is survived by uncles Dean Blount, Douglas Robert Todd, Joseph McConnell, and Richard McConnell. Al was proud to come from the Red Eagle and McConnell families.
Rod was preceded in death by a grandmother Kathleen Blount, a grandson Zaine Todd, his father Donald K. Todd, grandmothers Clara Blount and Alice Buck Elk, Virginia Spotted Bird, and Rita Belgarde. He is preceded in death by grandfathers George Blount, Sr. and Phillip Red Eagle.
A wake will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the Brockton Cultural Center in Brockton, Montana. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 10, 2014 at the Brockton Cultural Center. Interment will follow at the Riverview Cemetery in Brockton.
