I was sorry to see that Alice passed away. I know that because of her 98 years young that people tend to say what a blessing that she got to go. It never matters how old a son or daughter is when one loses a parent. One may as well be 7 or 8 years old again because you just lost your mother and it is a sad time for all of you. Oh how happy she was to see Frank who I’m sure was waiting there at the gates to see she got there safely. I will miss Alice for so many things but most of all because she was truly my friend and reminded me so much of my grandma, Lizetta Roy,Grammy. Alice and Grammy remainders lifelong friends. Grammy Always said she and Alice shared many secrets that nobody else ever knew about. Their friendship was so very special to Grammy. I will miss seeing the girls come and go every few weeks to give the other a break. What a testament to both your mom and dad that they got to remain in their home because of all the love they had from their children.. That just doesn’t happen anymore. I will be praying for all of you and keeping you all in my thoughts. Love to all of you, jeannie

My thoughts and prayers go out to the whole family on the loss of your loved one. I too think it was wonderful that your parents were able to be at home because of the unselfish love of their family. My parents thought a lot of both your parents and I remember going with my Dad and the kindness Frank always showed me at the store. I know I still miss my parents but all the memories we have helps a lot. I know they will be missed by many who knew them over the years.

Condolences to the family and friends of Alice Hanel. Aunt Alice was a dear and kind lady that I knew as a child and who meant a lot to my father Ray (deceased) and mother Evelyn who currently resides at Willow Brook Terrace in Pendleton, OR. Our families spent good times together when I was a young girl and Uncle Frank and Aunt Alice always made us feel welcomed with a good meal and lots of laughs. Alice always had a warm smile and kind word for me and I will treasure those memories close to my heart. God Bless you Aunt Alice may you rest in peace with your partner of over 75 years.
