Dear Little Miss Rebecca,
Once again, our hearts are saddened for your great loss, and so soon after Dad. We understand that not only did you lose Mom, but also Grandpa just a few days earlier. We can’t imagine what you must be feeling! But God is faithful, oh so faithful, and we know that he will see you thru this, no matter how hard. We pray that He will continue to keep you wrapped in his arms of love and hold you oh so tightly right now, and in the months to come. We heard from your mom shortly after your dad’s funeral, and she was very optimistic about coming back to the farm shortly, so we were quite surprised to get the news of her home going this past Saturday evening. She spent quite a bit of time in our home when she and your dad were first married, and we got to know her and love her from the very beginning. We’d connect in town once in a while thru the years and have lunch, and we always looked forward to the many Sunday afternoons your family spent in our home. We also looked forward to the times we were invited out to spend a day at your beautiful home in the country. We especially enjoyed the harvest parties, the combine rides, and all the good food your mom always prepared for everyone who came. I remember how excited your folks were when you graced their home as a tiny baby. They both enjoyed you SO much, loved you SO much and were SO very proud of you. We trust you will hold tightly to that and keep that love close to your heart. Know that we love you so much, and that you are always welcome in our home anytime. If there is anything we can do for you, please let us know. Until that time we will be keeping you in our hearts and prayers. The prayers of your friends and family are what are going to lift you above the current circumstances and give you a peace that you won’t understand as you walk thru this uncertain time in your life. God so much be with you!

R.I.P. Betty. I will always remember sharing bird stories with Betty. I enjoyed meeting Betty and Rebecca at the Bird Fest in Glasgow a few years ago. She was such a gentle soul and so devoted to her family. I will think of Betty whenever I am watching birds.

My prayers are with you Rebecca. You had the privilege of having the very strongest woman I knew for a mother. She was an inspiration to me and many others with her kind and gentle spirit and faith. Please treasure all those times You had with her and carry her spirit on through your beautiful sewing.

I admired your mother very much Rebecca. She was friendly, kind and an encouragement to others. When times are darkest we have a Father who walks beside us or caries us if we can’t walk. He is also holding you in the hollow of His Hand. I will continue to pray for you.
