Indian was a cowboys, cowboy. His black cowboy hat was his signature. It wasn’t fancy or new, the brim was worn, the crown a bit dusty. It showed the personality of its owner. Indian wasn’t a man who put on a show he wasn’t loud in a crowd,or brought attention to himself, he worked hard, and love the horses. He loved the wild horse race for adults, but was also seen helping the children at the Go Getters Rodeo pulling tight the bull rope or giving advice to the child or words of encouragment in the wild calf race. I will cherish the picture of my son Cole in the wild calf race with Indian encouraging him thru the gate. I had the privlige of working with Indian helping construct the lagoon in Wolf Point. He was my friend and I will miss him.

Sorry I couldn’t make the funeral just heard about it on Monday, February 13th. I knew him since I was a kid, and we both went to Pines Youth Camp at Fort Peck Lake. We used to tease each other, and we called each other “”chopped meat””, after the commodities they passed out. I am going to miss him and Emerson, they were both my friends. My condolences to the family.
