Claude G. Loberg, 80, died Sunday, January 22, 2017 at the Trinity Hospital in Wolf Point after a courageous three year battle with cancer.
Claude was the youngest child of Gunder and Clara Loberg. He was born and raised on a small farm north of Circle and always spoke of his childhood fondly. Claude was drafted into the army as a young man and served two years. Upon his return he spent time working on the family farm and eventually started his own upholstery business. In his young adulthood Claude participated in a country music band and could play anything with strings. In 1976, Claude married the love of his life, Donna. Claude and Donna made their life in Wolf Point where Claude provided a living for the family hauling mail out of Wolf Point to Vida, Circle, Richey, and Lambert. During the 35 years of making his way along the route he made many dear friends.
Claude enjoyed visits with his girls and would share endless stories of the past, ideas for the future, and could go on and on day-dreaming of his many aspirations. Claude also loved going on drives and just getting away for the weekend with his wife. His family would joke that he could smell an auction or an antique tractor 100 miles away. Claude loved his old Peterbilt truck and all his other collectibles and had projects lined up for days and days.
Claude leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Donna; daughters, Lisa (Jason) Murdock of Fort Peck, MT, Shelly (Jay) Ferdina of Wolf Point, and Terri (David) Holden of Marysville, WA; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Claude was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Bobbi Jo; parents, Gunder and Clara; two brothers, Gardner and Garnett; and a sister, Patti Lynn.

Donna and Family;
Larry and I would like to extend our sincere heartfelt sympathy. Claude will be missed but his treasured memories will be with each and everyone of you and shared in years to come.
At John 5:28 Jesus stated: “for the hour is coming in which all in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and at John 11:25 he told Martha after Lazarus’s death ,Jesus said: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to Life; . May Jesus words be a comfort to you all and the comfort of friends also at this time.
