On January 17th, 1988 Clinton Anthony Linthicum Junior, Iisak’shi Bae’t it’che (Talented Good Young Man), was born in Poplar, Montana to Clinton and Veronica Linthicum. He joined Sisters Annette and Krystle. Clint also loved spending time with his Grandparents Don and Irene Linthicum. They would sit and watch TV, play card games, and do the Billings Paper Puzzle.
He attended elementary school in Poplar. At an early age Clint loved sports, he started playing basketball when he was a first grader. He won his first basketball tournament as a fifth grader. In basketball he and his fellow teammates stayed undefeated from 7th through 9th grade. His love for football started in junior high. He played football all four years of high school and also was selected to play at the Class B All Star game. Clint also played golf in high school and continued to love the game until this day. He graduated from Poplar High School in 2007.
Clint loved being around people and he loved making friends. He made friends that would last him a lifetime: Lance Marottek, Michael Bearcub, Willie Youpee, Nick Bighorn, Barry Bighorn, Charlie Pollack, Steve Barr, alongside his Cousins Jacob Cummins, Tiffany Neilson, Brandon and Cameron Martell. Apologies if we’ve missed naming you.
Clint lived in Thedford, Nebraska with his cousin Jacob Cummins. They played music and worked at a quick stop. At that time he was taking pilot lessons and was certified to fly small engine aircrafts.
After working at a quick stop, he realized he didn’t want to do that all his life and started at Rocky Mountain College. He red-shirted a year and then moved to Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, North Dakota. He went on a football scholarship where he was coached by his cousin Dustin Morgan and played football for two years with Jacob Cummins, Cameron Martell and Willie Youpee.
On July 9th, 2010 Clint married the love of his life Randy Ackerman, after dating all through high school. In 2011, they moved to Billings, Montana where they remain today.
Clint started attending Rocky Mountain College again and he played college football two more years as a Rocky Mountain Bear. He graduated from Rocky Mountain College with a Masters Degree in Accounting.
From the union of Clint and Randy came three children. Elijah Moriah Linthicum was their first. They then had William James, sometimes called Liam, and Connor Aden. Clint loved his children with all his heart. It was seldom to see them together without wide-smiles and lots of hugs. William and Connor were always two steps behind Clint. In the past two years Clint really enjoyed teaching William how to wrestle. Connor is Clint’s mini-me. Clint felt Connor was Grandpa Clint’s way at getting back at him, karmic.
Clint worked at the BIA in Billings and was currently employed at the Billings IHS as a financial specialist.
Something about Clint that people always share was his big smile, it was contagious, and you’d be hard pressed to catch him without it. When he made friends with classmates, teammates and coworkers, it was for life.
Clint left this world to begin his new life on June 10th, 2020. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his Son, Elijah Moriah Linthicum. His Great Grandfather George Thompson, Grandparents, William Donald and Irene Linthicum, his Sister Annette, and his Cousins Jory and Chelsea Marchwick and Landon Park.
He is survived by his Wife Randy, and two Sons William and Connor. His Dad Clint, Mom Veronica, and Step Father Art St. Germaine. His Sister Krystle and Nephew and Nieces Quincy, Gwyneth, and Angelica. His Aunts, Shirley (Gene) Marchwick, LaRene (Larry) Park, Joanne (Jay) Cummins, and Judy (Frank) Linthicum Martell. His Uncles, Donald Linthicum and Robert Linthicum.

It is hard to think of Clint as no longer here on Enarth. He made the Linthicum clan proud of him. I got to know him better when he played on the Northeast Montana Road Warrior basketball team. He never complained and most important he made friends quickly with teammates from different towns even rivals. He was coachable and always hustled. He was determined to succeed and he did! What a great Dad he was to William and connors! He had a big grin on his face with them even when he had to discipline. He thought he had the most beautiful wife.

Tonight (Saturday), I awoke to the devastating news of Clint jrs passing. I have no social media of any kind so I am out of the loop as they would say. I remember Veronica hanging out with my mom. Clint and the girls, I got stuck baby sitting on a few occasions lol. Over time lives take different directions, but as Clint moved to billings I would follow his football career knowing he was a fellow rezzer. He started coming to the YMCA and playing “noon hoops” with us old guys, teasing, laughing, just getting some excercise, but still he was very competitive. I would always tease him about being a rowdy Indian when he played. Had some good catch up talks with him about his life and family. I’m very sorry everyone for their loss. He was a great man, husband and father. Rest in peace, no worries as we will all see and be together again, may the creator watch over his family. Ronnie and Iva Harris, and girls.

So sorry for your loss of Clint. He was such a brilliant young man. He was in my 5th grade class. We had a play that our class put on for their families (I think Irene came to it). We made the props and background for it. He had the lead part. When we practiced it many other students struggled with their lines,. He helped the other students with their lines because he memorized the entire play. He had a great memory. He had such an infectious smile and he was definitely an A type personality. My families prayers are with you all at this time.
