RIP my friend. I’ll never forget all the fun times we had during high school. Like the trip our club took to the World’s Fair in New York City and we went in an old yellow school bus. The looks we got going down the road with the teepees and poles tied on top. Prayers to his family.

Dale was my first Captain. He provided leadership to a new police department transitioning from the BIA to the Tribes with a lot of young officers. He built the program with his vast knowledge and a fatherly touch. The officers knew he cared about them and gave him respect in turn. He will forever be known as CAPTAIN. Even though heβs been retired for nearly twenty years he was still our captain. Rest In Peace Dale and our condolences to his wife, children, grandchildren and other family members.
Ray & Brenda Garske says

I am saddened by the loss of Dale. He was one of the nicest police officers I have ever met. I also know a number of his family and think highly of them as well. I grew up in Wolf Point and Oswego (My Grandma-Nora Smith) and have many memories of his extended family. My prayers to your family during this time of sorrow.
I also worked with Dale at Crow Agency. I was a Public Health Nurse and he was the police chief. He helped me with some of my harder duties.
Clayton Bunt says
I encountered Dale while working at Poplar in the 80’s and again working at Crow in the 90’s.
Very sad to learn of his passing. He was a good cop and a good man!!
