Deborah Ann Macdonald, age 59, of Nashua, MT passed away Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, MT from Lou Gehrig’s disease (ALS).
Deborah was born on November 19, 1952 in Glasgow, MT, the daughter of John and Jeane (Kjensrud) Macdonald. She graduated from Poplar High school in 1971 and received her bachelor’s degree from Washington State University. She was employed for 20 years with the Indian Health Service. Deborah was baptized into the Lutheran Church and confirmed her faith. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her parents, John and Jeane Macdonald of Nashua, MT; son, Charles (Stephanie) Marottek of Wiliston, ND; daughter, Tennille (Jay) Brown of Trenton, ND; sisters, Roberta Debyshire of Great Falls, MT, and Val (Doug) Grimes of Glasgow, MT; grandchildren, Jessica, Charlie, JaiMarie, Jordan, Hope, Alex, Anthony, and Emily; nieces, Kristie Grimes of Eugene, OR and Yvonne Debyshire of Great Falls, MT; nephew, John (Esther) Grimes of Nashua, MT; and best friends, Linda Blue of Belcourt, ND and Tom Rutledge of St. John, ND.
Deborah is preceded in death by her grandparents, John Macdonald Sr., Viola Thompson, George and Hilda Kjensrud; and infant granddaughter, Amanda Marottek.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 21 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements.
