Eugene Allan Tattoo, age 53, passed away at home on June 2, 2015. He was born on December 6, 1961 in Poplar, MT to Morris V. Tattoo Sr. and Dolly Bearcub. He was the sixth out of seven children. Although growing up in Wolf Point, he graduated high school from Wenatchee, WA. He attended college in Billings at Eastern College and also Fort Peck Community College, pursuing education. He taught at Headstart for many, many years. Other jobs included working at the radio station complimenting his love of music, cutting trees with his dad, and taking multiple coffee breaks at Tastee Freez. Some of his favorite accomplishments included passing along his basketball skill to Brock and Easton, being the best father to Dolly and Carly, and watching Kori Rae’s first two years. He was known to many as “Iceman”, “Teacher Gene”, “Geno Bambino”, and his most recent and favorite “Papa”.
Gene is survived by Dolly Tattoo and Carly Tattoo both of Wolf Point; mother of his children, Vernie Moen of Wolf Point; brother, Morris Tattoo, Jr., of Wolf Point; sisters, Mayme of Wolf Point, Melda (Keeler) of South Dakota, and Lafon of Wolf Point; nephews and nieces, Brock and Easton Copenhaver, Winter and Jarod Courchene, Jake and Toby Keeler Jr., Tarise, Tasha, and Sky Hopkins, and Kyla Schneider; special cousins, Gaynelle McClammy of Wolf Point and Velvet Schneider (Bo) of Lawrence, KS; and aunt and uncle, Viola and Larry Wood.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Dolly Tattoo and Morris Tattoo Sr.; two brothers, Roy and Harvey; and special nephew, Jeremy.
