Eunice “Kay” Longtree age 48 of Poplar MT passed away in Billings Friday January 24, 2014.
Eunice was born in Poplar on August 23, 1965 to Elenor Muskrat. She attended Poplar School. She met her companion, John Martell Sr. in 1980 and through the years they had twelve children and they remained close friends. She enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren.
Eunice enjoyed outdoor activities with family and friends especially during the summer. She enjoyed fishing, listening to music, doing scratch cards and reading. She was happy when she gave things to people she cared about and would help people if they needed it. She always made sure her children knew that she loved them and always wanted to know how her loved ones were doing. She enjoyed watching movies and was always willing to try new things. She enjoyed spending time with her children’s father, John Martell Sr.. They enjoyed many things together as friends.
She is survived by six daughters: Yovette (Dean) Dupree, Trista (Robert) Jackson, Blair (Edgar) Veliz, Johnna (Jordon) Runkel, Mada Martell, Semone Martell all of Wolf Point; five sons: Jordan Martell of Alabama, Thomas (Oceanna) Martell Sr., Chance Martell, Morgan Martell and Isaiah Martell all of Wolf Point; two sisters: Margaret (Levi) Olson and Valerie Longtree both of Poplar; two brothers: Malcolm Goodbird Sr. and Bernard Goodbird both of Poplar; sixteen grandchildren whom she loved dearly: Harold Dupree III, Jadin Dupree, Xavion Dupree, Samara Dupree, Harper Dupree, Dante Martell, Tristina Jackson, Payton Runs Above, Ryder Runs Above, Justyne Martell, Brandalyn Martell, Thomas Martell Jr., Jonathan Runkel, Jordan Runkel Jr., Stephanie Martell and Maxim Martell and numerous nieces and nephews and grandchildren.
Eunice was preceded in death by her mother: Eleanor Muskrat; one son: Trinity Martell; brother: Gordon Goodbird; aunt: Faye Muskrat; mother in law: Violet Martell; father in law: Maxim Martell Sr.; nephews: Levi “Terry” Olson Jr.; niece: Teresa Olson; uncles: Malcolm Muskrat and David Muskrat and grandparents Joe and Eunice Muskrat.
A rosary will be held 7 p.m. Friday, January 31 at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Poplar. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 1 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Poplar. Interment will follow at the Martell Cemetery in Blair, Montana. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements.

I love and miss you, I wish thing’s would have been different but now I know you will be watching over us and in a better place. I have lot’s of memory’s of you but the best one’s that will always make me laugh is when I think of you and the silly things you did and said at times. You was a good mom and did the best you could and I love you for that and among a lot of other things. You will always be missed and thought of often, we always talk about you so in ways your still with us, you always made sure you told us you loved us and made sure to make your rounds lol to make sure we were ok and safe and know I know you are. I love you MOM and will miss you always, REST IN PEACE MOM!
