I am so glad we got to spend some time with you the last few years but I wish it could have been more. We loved visiting with you in Havre three years ago. You were so generous in showing us all the wonderful sites even though you weren’t feeling well and just stayed in the car. The trip here to KC in 2016 was great too. You were so loving and had a great since of humor. I love the little time we had together. I hope gramma was waiting for you on your final journey. Rest in peace.
Best saying from you in most of your letter…God willing and the creek don’t rise.

I am so sorry to hear of Jerry’s journey out of this plane of existence. He was a brilliant man and champion for all veterans, their families and anyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
It will be a less world without him in it.

He was one of a kind. We always loved seeing him at the clinic. He gave us all nicknames and we had some good laughs. He was my favorite patient and I will miss seeing him. Prayers to your family.

I was very blessed to be a part of his life while he lived at the Roosevelt in Glasgow. We spent countless hours putting together puzzles and he was like a grandfather to my youngest son. He will be greatly missed. The train yard will miss you watching them come in and out in Havre Jerry!
