Glen Reed was born January 31, 1947 to Dean and Beulah Reed in Akron, Colorado. He grew up in Hotchkiss, Colorado. He married his wife Jo Anne in 1978. They later moved to Nevada where Glen became a rancher and later the foreman of Sunny Side Ranch. He loved ranching, but had to leave after two back surgeries. The family moved into Lund, where Glen served for several years on the town council until the family moved back to Fort Collins, Colorado. There he became a Senior Soldier for the Salvation Army. His greatest joy in serving the Lord for the Salvation Army was during the bell ringing season, when he would take his grandson Chris and pick up the bell ringers.
Glen and Jo Anne moved to Wolf Point, Montana so that they could be closer to all of their grandchildren. He worked for North Montana Health Services, first in housekeeping and then in maintenance. He retired from their in 2012.
On December 29, 2018 Glen went to meet his Heavenly Father and join his father, mother, grandson James, twin sister Glenda, three half bothers, and half-sister in heaven.
He is survived by his loving wife Jo Anne Reed; sons Shane Reed, Wolf Point; Ken (Walt) Reed, Denver, CO; daughter Dawn Allen, Wolf Point; his grandchildren Amanda, Rebecca, Christopher, Trenton, Samantha, Kasey, and Jesse; and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Clarence (Anita) Reed, Keith Reed; and his sisters Doris Miller, Mary (Ben) McFarlin, and Lola (Leroy) Wold and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held February 9, 2019 at the First Lutheran Church, 415 Johnson St, Wolf Point, MT at 11 am with a luncheon to follow at 12:30.
In lieu of flowers the family request that a donation be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
