Gordon Moses Desjarlais, age 70, passed away at Trinity Hospital on July 13, 2015 surrounded by his family.
Gordon was born on March 7, 1945 in Belcourt, North Dakota to Alfred and Mary Louise (Dubois) Desjarlais. He moved to Wolf Point in 1950 and lived here until his death.
He met the love of his life Violet Dionne in 1966 and they were married June 9, 1967. They celebrated 48 years together.
Gordon worked for Woods Power Grip for 12 years and was forced to retire in 1992 due to health problems.
He is survived by his wife Violet and stepsons Richard (Maureen) Dionne of Poplar, Jeff (Lauren) Dionne of Laurel, his stepdaughters Janice (Stanley) Moran of Wolf Point, Brenda (Melvin) Flynn of Wolf Point, Connie (Steve) Stump, Sr. of Williston, Sandra (Kenny) Lewis of Arlee, Susan Alzinki of Fairbault, MN, his nieces Tina Magnan and great nephew Kevin Barley. Gordon is survived by 21 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. He is survived by aunts Emma (Boots) Wallette and Betty Pamer and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Eddy and Norman, his sisters Theresa, Rose, Virginia, Vita, and Rita.
An open visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2015 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Wolf Point. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point has been entrusted with arrangements.
