Jennifer French Gilbert, 53, of Culbertson died Thursday, Feb. 26 in Culbertson.
Jennifer was born in Portland, OR on August 24, 1961 to James French and Rosemary Baechler French. She graduated from Pendleton High School in 1979 and from Oregon Institute of Technology in 1981 with an AA in dental assisting. She later earned a pharmacy technician certificate. Jennifer married Rick Gilbert in 1984 and then had two daughters, Brittany and Rachael.
Jennifer enjoyed testing new recipes or creating her own. Her special joy was cooking for family and friends. She was also an accomplished seamstress and delighted in making Halloween costumes and special occasion clothing for her girls. Jennifer was very involved with her family as a ranch wife, 4-H volunteer parent and sports mom.
She is survived by her husband, Rick Gilbert, daughters Brittany and Rachael Gilbert and her mother, Rosemary French, all of Culbertson. She was preceded in death by her father, James French. She is also survived by five daughters and one son by choice.
Her caring spirit sunny, warm smile and laugh will be missed.
