Larry was always a good friend. He always liked tease. One day our daughter was with us at housing. She was all cleaned up sitting there with us. He came along and shook our hands. Then he shook our daughters hand. Larry left and came back. He had a big chocolate donut. Hsnding it to our daughter he said with a big smile,’’Here, this is for you, you look nice and clean. Get the chocolate all over your face so they have to clean you up again.’ Larry was like that! He cared about people and showed his kindness comically and always with a smile! Our condolences and paraders to his loving family, Larry will be missed greatly!

My sincere condolences to the family, Larry was always willing to help anyone in need. Not long ago my truck broke down on Big Porcupine creek. I called larry and he came all the way up there and loaded my truck on his flat bed and brought it back no questions asked and when i asked him how much I owed him, he just said “Whatever you think it was worth. Thats just how he was. I have known Larry for 50 years and he would come to my office to visit often. He was a thinking man and always had an idea that would improve on something. This reservation lost quite a handyman and he sure could make a gravel road smooth. I will miss your humor my friend, you have earned your ride to glory. Charlie Headdress

Larry was an extremely hard worker and always joking with us. He rode to Billings with us on a few occasions and we enjoyed his stories especially about his Tribal Police days which seemed very exciting. Many occasions we saw Larry and co-workers awake early in the morning running heavy equipment to dig the reservation out of another bad blizzard. In the winter of 2003, a blizzard shut down the entire reservation. Larry came to the rescue in his snow remover which he called an “Osh Kosh,” Larry pulled our pickup from the snowbank and cleared the entire roadway which we greatly appreciated. He was always working a deal on a vehicle and could really bargain and trade humor while working a deal. He will be missed. Our condolences to his spouse, children, grandchildren, and friends.
