So sorry to hear of Louie’s passing, he is my cousin, he was like a brother to me. I’ll miss seeing him around Poplar and visiting with him. He always carried a crucifix with him, he told me he would alway say the rosary all the time.

Louie was a kind person that never had bad thing to say about anybody or anything. His active saddlebronc riding days kept him through his last days. He liked to ask about his rodeo buddies and always said to tell them hello when I saw them. He rode broncs at a time when my brother Skinny, the Colliflower boys and many others did, and he was good. I liked to visit with him and remind him of some of his rides I was able to see. RIP Louie and when you see my Dad, give him a big hug for me.

To all of the Burshia family,
Our deepest and sincere condolences at this time for Louie…We grew up in the early 70’s living next door to you all…Your parents knew my parents, Buster n Delores Eder…so I’ve known Louie and the rest since then!!! He is a great cowboy, enough that my brother, Mark, joined him in riding in the rodeo…they were in the “Little Britches rodeo” back when they used to have it back then…My prayer is for comfort and strength cause we all know what it’s like to lose someone you Love and at a young age..Love n Peace to you all!!

My deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the entire Burshia family. I have happy memories of playing with Louie and the rest of the Burshia kids on our big swingset when we lived in town-those were fun times. In high school it was so much fun to watch Louie wrestle – it was amazing to see him get out of some of those holds and pin the other guy – always a crowd pleaser. Louie loved his horses and my dad often commented on what a great cowboy he was – high praise indeed from my father. My thoughts and prayers that memories such as these will help the family through this trying time. Louie is at peace and riding in the big rodeo! Peace and Love.
