Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, Linda Mary Red Boy, went home to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, June 5th, due to natural causes.
Mom was born October 6, 1941, out to Riverside, to William (Willie) Red Boy, and Jeanette Etta Cloud Youpee. Mom grew up in Brockton, attended school there, finished 11th grade, and lived there all her life. Mom was also a member of the Makaicu Church at Riverside.
Mom met and married Gene Devereaux, and they later divorced. They had four children, Kenny, Colleen, Kevin and Grace. She later met and married John Red Thunder Sr. They had three children, Johnelle, Jamie, and John Jr. (Thunder). Her last relationship was with Gary Hotomanie. She always use to joke around and say her first love and marriage was to Conway Twitty, and second George Jones because she loved their music.
Mom worked at A&S Industries for a brief time, and was a cook in various places. Her favorite past-times were basketball, watching her son and grandsons, and nephews play basketball. She was always there to cheer them on. Mom also loved going to Bingo, to be with family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Colleen and Kevin Devereaux, of Brockton. Grace Devereaux, Johnny, Jamie and John (Thunder) Red Thunder of Poplar, many grand-children and great-grandchildren. Father, Jim Youpee of Brockton. Sisters, Dolly Boyd, Sharon Red Thunder, Kate Youpee, Millie (Marion) Runs Through, all of Poplar. Sister Jamie Youpee of Brockton. I wanted to let the family they are in my prayers, I got to know Linda at the Hi LineRetirement Center, I spend some time around Christmas visiting with her. She talked about her kids and how she missed beading. She was a pleasure to be around and we shared lots of laughs. I was sad when I came back to the Hi Line and saw her. I prayed everyday that her pain would lessen. She did enjoy her cola. I know her pain is gone and I wish her peacefulness, Debbie Demarais
