Margaret M. Brown, 90, a lifetime resident of Wolf Point, residing at the Faith Lutheran Rest Home, left her loved ones on February 22, 2014, to be with the Lord and her family in heaven. Born November 26, 1923, to Walter and Nina Mueller, she grew up on the farm in McCone County. She attended grade school at Sunnyside Country School. She really did ride horseback to school! She graduated from high school in Wolf Point. She married Paul Galen Brown on August 20, 1947, in Columbus, MT. To that union, they had four children.
Margaret worked for many, many years at the Roosevelt County Courthouse in the Clerk and Recorders office, retiring in 1986. She lost her husband in 1987. Not being defeated by the valleys one must endure in this life, she was rescued by her dear friends engaging in card games and many community activities. Also, her volunteer work which included the Roosevelt County and Wolf Point High School libraries was very rewarding for her. During the summer she was kept busy with pampering her flowers and her yard, taking car rides with her brother and friends, and outing with her children. Her two sons-in-law enjoyed taking her boating and scaring her with their daring four-wheeler rides. In the earlier years, she and Paul and numerous friends enjoyed fishing, camping, and snowmobiling. She was a 90 year member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wolf Point where she had a loving church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; and her three brothers, Arthur, Donald, and Arnold.
She is survived by her son, Loran; daughters, Sue (John) Broesder, Donna Block, and Debi (Mark) Armstrong. Margaret loved and adored each of her ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren, not forgetting her dear nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Friday, February 28, at 11 a.m. Graveside services will be scheduled at a later date. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point has assisted with the arrangements.

I remember Margaret as an energetic woman who raised four wonderful children, including Donna, my best childhood friend. Margaret was not only a devoted mother but, a loyal and hard working employee for Roosevelt County. Arlene & I could always rely on her welcoming smile at weekend Mass, usually surrounded by many of her “card game” buddies. I hope your many fond memories of Margaret will be a comfort to all of you during this time of grief. Arlene & I will not be able to attend the funeral Mass, but be assured that our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Brown family.
